There was a lot of debate within the Jets fan base last year regarding Eric Decker. Nobody had any question that the Jets needed Decker, but the debate went on over the value. Was Eric Decker really a “number one” receiver? Was his product solely from Peyton Manning throwing the ball, and Demariyus Thomas on the opposite side?

Time to analyze a bit, and see how Decker really fared last year.

Football Oustiders did a study of the number of uncatchable balls thrown to each receiver, and did a ranking. Eric Decker ranked 62nd, with 24 out of 115 targets being deemed “uncatchable”, based on either an under or overthrow.
